FOR PUNKS

[edit]
  • What is the term (and does this exist) of punk bands similar in style to the Ramones that exist today. Is it sort of like punk-revival, because I know there is a post-punk revival, which might be the same thing, idk.

Thanks

Louie Louie by the Kingsman, or some Animals House of the Rising Sun. That's some OG punk rock right there. I think the point of Punk is to make fun of cords and rhythmics. By keeping it simple on an extreme basic. The art, I guess, if you wanted to follow the same theme of punk rock, you can go with Andy Warhol. PUNK IS THE STYLE. I mean, you can just simplify it, and rock it as hard as you can, in its simplicity. in a sense, almost making fun of music. Destroy Music via using music. And in that sense, you glorify it on a whole new plane, and this plane is called PUNK. i know, I know, I should write for punks more...oh, I am, I'm a wikipedian. --i am the kwisatz haderach 04:08, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

riddle

[edit]

its the largest mass creation in the west.what is it?anyone who knows the answer can help me with me answer.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.24.111.82 (talkcontribs)

Even for a riddle, the question is far too vague. Mass cannot be created (unless the answer is the Big Bang), and what is meant by The West?--Shantavira|feed me 09:36, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That is a very vague question. If that is the exact wording of the question as it was posed to you, then try approaching it from the direction of defining "mass" -- possible meanings include:
1) largest structure (not necessarily a building) created - maybe a mountain of moved earth from mining?
2) largest conglomerated construct (think Mexico City)
3) something related to the Catholic mass
4) largest performance of the piece "Mass of Creation"?
5) something else that I haven't thought of yet.
Very vague. Unless someone happens to know the answer this riddle is looking for, it is unlikely that we will be able to decisively answer it. 152.16.59.190 10:33, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm guessing that 'mass creation' may mean in this context 'creation by the masses' ie something made by western people..? Can't asnwer it yet though...87.102.84.56 11:12, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well in that case it's obviously Wikipedia. Definitely massive and yet, somehow, massless.--Shantavira|feed me 15:10, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I dunno for sure, but people always talk about how the cowboy personna is a myth, and going with the interpretation of mass creation as a creation of the masses, i am willing to buy the cowboy as the answer —Preceding unsigned comment added by Naya c (talkcontribs) 14:49, August 28, 2007 (UTC)

Upgrading to Xbox360 Elite

[edit]

I currently own an Xbox360 and am considering buying an Elite for the HDMI and larger hard drive. How can I transfer my game saves and purchased Live Arcade games from my old HD to the new one? --72.202.150.92 15:14, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The computing desk is a better place to ask - I've moved the question. See:Computing#Upgrading_to_Xbox360_Elite

That said I believe there are two methods

1. You can get a special transfer cable that will hook up the two HD's see http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/console/datamigration.htm it's free there is a link for a form to fill in at the bottom of the page - (this is the form http://assets.xbox.com/en-us/support/MigrationKit-OrderForm.pdf)

2. Copy your games from the old HD to a memory card, then copy that to the new HD.

It should be noted that some (if not all) downloaded content is licensed to the original console you bought - to access it on the new console you may need to be connected to xbox live.87.102.84.56 16:38, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Music video

[edit]

I'm trying to remember the song from particular a music video. It consists of a guy on roller skates getting in a boxing match with the camera man, and losing. Anyone know what that is? --Masamage 20:04, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, looks like it's 54-40's "Love Rush". Mystery solved! --Masamage 03:08, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
